Tuning forks for Hearing Testing

C256R frequency             C512R frequency 

These American made tuning forks are for hearing testing. They are professional grade forks, weighted and individually tuned. Each fork has been carefully hand smoothed on the ends to have a rounded edge. If you have seen extra-long unweighted forks with these frequencies you have seen "student grade".  Professional grade means they are of the highest quality aluminum alloy. A complete set of these forks can be seen in the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

The number refers to the number of vibrations per second. The higher the number the higher the "pitch".  C256 is for both hearing and vibration testing. C512 is for vibration only.

The C256 is weighted. Made in USA of highest quality aluminum alloys, this is a Professional Grade Fork. The C256 is for both hearing and vibration. If you can only afford one fork, this is it.

#C512R -  Hearing Test       $6.44 ea.

The 512 Hz is not a weighted fork. It has rounded tops to reduce scratching in your bag. Made in USA of the highest quality aluminum alloys, it is not to be confused with "student grade". This is Professional!
