G Cynthia - the founder and operator of Medworks from 1971 to 2007

The company started in Minnesota as an answer to the high prices a friend was paying for the instruments he needed for medical school.  Over the years we have tried to offer  instruments with the student in mind because no matter how rich you get to be SOMEDAY as a student EVERY PENNY COUNTS!  We also listened to doctors who wanted to see improvements in reflex hammers. My friend in medical school thought there was a particular problem in finding a good reflex hammer and he has contributed -- with other doctors and doctors in training as well as health professionals in every healthcare field -- to the improvements and designs of our Reflex Hammers. That is why we specialize in reflex hammers. We want to offer something you can't get from just anybody. We have a Troemner hammer that has developed over the years from the input of Neurologists in particular. Recently a Professor of Neurology at the University of Minnesota asked us to make the head bigger, heavier and give the hammer a little FLASH. Take a look at our Gold Handled (same hard surface as surgical gold plating so it won't rub off) MINNESOTA Troemner. It has an elegant appearance AND you aren't likely to have your hammer stolen if it stands out with a Gold Handle.  Our regular Troemner is very fine as well. Both hammers have soft non-hardening bumpers because we know how uncivilized it is to HURT a patient with HARD BUMPERS!
